Praxis

Privacy policy

Last updated: October 20, 2026

Praxis is a private, personal AI assistant. It runs on its owner's own computer and is used only by its owner and people they invite. This policy explains what information Praxis handles and how.

Information Praxis handles

How it is used

Praxis uses your information only to do what you ask it to do: answer questions, find or organize email, manage calendar events, and create or edit files. It does not use your information for advertising, does not sell it, and does not use it to train AI models.

Where it is stored

Chats, files, memory and Google sign-in tokens are stored on the owner's own computer. They are not stored on servers run by Praxis, because there are none.

When it is shared

To answer a request, Praxis sends the relevant text (which can include content from your Google account) to the AI model you chose for that chat. If you choose a model that runs on the owner's own computer, nothing leaves that computer. If you choose a cloud model, such as ChatGPT, the request goes to that model's provider under its own terms. Praxis does not share your information with anyone else.

Google user data

Praxis's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. Google user data is used only to provide the features you ask for, is not used for advertising, is not sold, and is not used to train AI models.
